The Municipality of Anchorage is evaluating upgrades to the W. 32nd Ave and E. 33rd Ave Corridor that runs west-east through Midtown Anchorage from Spenard Road to Old Seward Highway. To improve connectivity between Spenard and Midtown, the original project area has been expanded to evaluate a non-motorized connection between Arctic Boulevard and Spenard Road. The purpose of this project is to enhance safety and accessibility for vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists by implementing Complete Streets design standards as recommended by the Anchorage Vision Zero Steering Committee. The MOA has contracted with CRW Engineering Group, LLC to provide preliminary engineering and design services. The project is funded through the design phase. No funding for construction has been received at this time.
